Description
WObit • SMC139-WP • Stepper motor controller 8A, 75VDC, 1/16 steps
The WObit SMC 139-WP is a micro step, high-voltage stepper motor controller designed to control motors with up to 8.2A phase current. It has 8 current settings ranging from 3 to 8.2A with a single power supply of 25 to 75VDC and 8 step depths.
The SMC139 controller has an aluminum housing with a heatsink and a fan for cooling. The housing can be mounted to a mounting rail. Thanks to detachable terminal strips for power supply, motor and control signals, quick assembly and disassembly is possible without the need to unscrew the cables.
The power stages in the SMC139 controller operate at a chopping frequency of 25 kHz, and the mixed current decay method saves energy with the optimal shape of the current waveform, which is related to the precision of the stepper motor movement (mixed decay).
The TMC239 control system includes non-linear D/A converters allowing for a step division of 1/16. It is equipped with a precise current control system and overload control.
The controller has a built-in galvanically isolated +5V power supply system. It is led to the connection terminals so it can be used for relevant applications (for example, to power optocouplers).
